Sliding doors

spacious / play of light / balance

Sliding doors are ideal for virtually any room – they offer opportunities to hide the contents of your wardrobe or walk-in closet and help divide the space. In addition to practicality, the sliding doors are also an interior design element with many possibilities. Sliding doors are especially suitable for narrow spaces as they slide in front of each other horizontally. Tank sliding doors can also be installed in rooms with a sloped ceiling. The ‘smart door’ solution for sliding doors includes a soft closing system.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors are very efficient in terms of use of space, as they allow a large part of the wardrobe solution to be opened at once. Sliding doors are a sleek, minimalist and modern interior element. If you want the room to appear more spacious, it is a good idea to use glass or mirror on your sliding doors, as they allow the light to bounce around the room. Depending on the type of the door, sliding doors can be partitioned horizontally and/or vertically using different materials.

Maximum dimensions of sliding doors:

  • Min. width: 450 mm
  • Max. width: 1,800 mm
  • Max. height: 3,000 mm
  • Max. area: 4.5 m²

* Depending on the type of the door, the maximum dimensions may vary

Types of sliding doors

Our product range includes various types of sliding doors with wooden or aluminium frames:

Standard sliding door
A sliding door that slides between the top and bottom track – usually used in front of wardrobes.

Sliding doors with concealed tracks
Sliding doors with concealed tracks can be ordered together with a wardrobe system to create a more cohesive look. A complete solution with a well-thought-out design and layout can quickly and easily make the client’s home more stylish.
Minimalistic sliding doors with a functional cabinet system are best suited for spacious rooms where their minimalistic design can make a statement, however the complete solution is also a good way to make use of a niche opening.

TOP sliding door
TOP sliding doors slide on the top track only (no fixing on the floor) – mostly used as a room divider but can also be used in front of wardrobes.

Tank Magic sliding door
The sliding system of the Tank Magic door has been hidden behind the door and will not be visible. The Magic door is well-suited as a room divider between the dining room and living room or as an office door – it is not ideal for high-traffic areas. The doors are made from natural veneer that can be stained, if necessary.

Materials

The sliding doors can be made from a variety of materials such as melamine, veneers and coloured MDF boards as well as mirrors and glass, which can all be combined to create a custom solution. Visit the nearest Tank showroom and learn more about the materials!

Back-painted glass

We offer back-painted glass in a variety of colours based on the Ral Classic colour chart.

Coloured MDF

We offer coloured MDF in a variety of colours based on the colour chart. There are two finishes: semi-matte and high gloss.

LED lighting solutions

LED lighting solutions can be integrated into the top track of the Tank sliding doors – in this way, the light elements are discreet and virtually unnoticeable until they are needed.

The top track LED lights can be installed in front of the doors (the LEDs can also be used as room lighting) or behind the doors so that they provide light inside the wardrobe which is helpful when choosing outfits or organising the wardrobe.

The intensity of the Tank LED lights can be adjusted – you can create a dim and cosy or a bright and lively atmosphere. The lighting can be controlled via a wireless remote, wall switch or fully automatic motion sensor.

The furniture hardware selection of Tank includes a variety of practical and smart LED lighting solutions.
